| About Us We are a retail based operation from Edinburgh situated in the heart of the old town in The Royal Mile. Our business is operated from the same address and unlike some of our online competitors we actually serve customers face to face on a daily basis. Our store is located in the heart of Edinburgh's Royal Mile opposite St Giles Cathederal and all are welcome at our premises. Our objectives are quite simple, to provide quality knitwear, cashmeres, country clothing and Highland Dress produced within the United Kingdom. |
| Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency. We accept Visa, Amex, JCB, Switch, Solo and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items and made to measure goods are billed at the time of purchase. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet. When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. |
| Shipping And Handling We charge shipping at cost but do not add any extra for packaging or handling. Prices are charged by weight and clearly marked at the checkout stage of ordering. The weight of the goods includes any packing weight and is charged to the next half kilo as this is what we are charged. For UK orders we use the Post Office and the recorded delivery system. This enables us to trace missing or delayed orders. For UK pacels over two kilos in weight and all other countries we use UPS & Citylink (UK). We can track and trace every shipment we despatch from the moment it leaves us to time it is delivered. There are cheaper methods of delivery but we need to be certain our goods are going to be delivered in the condition we want and in the times we state. UPS service to UK and Ec countries is usually next day, New York is also next day and the rest of the world between 2 and 7 days. |
| Delivery Schedule We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in 1-3 business days for items in stock, For products out of stock we aim to deliver with 14 days of receiving your order. International orders are generally despatched 3-5 days with expected delivery up to 7 days later. For air mail postal delivery this can be 14 to 21 days from despatch. Should you have special requirements for urgent deliver please drop us an email and we will be more than happy to advise. |
| Back Orders For items on back order we will provide an expected delivery date and will endeavour to update you with progress. If there is a problem outwith our control and the delivery date is longer than otherwise stated we will inform you as soon as we are aware of this. You have the right to cancel at any time before despatch. |
| Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free. |
| Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. |
| Guarantee We gaurantee the products we supply to be of the highest quality and should you not be completly satisfied please return your order within 14 days, in original condition for a refund. Postage costs are not refunded. For faulty or damaged goods we will refund the full amount charged for any other returns we will refund the cost of the goods but not the shipping charges. For made to measure items we will endeavour to provide within the specified timesacle quoted garments made to the sizes specified. Due to the goods being made to order we cannot accept goods being returned with the following exceptions: If we fail to follow the instructions recieved, the goods are not made to the size required. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of reciept of the goods Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by this gaurantee.
